Evolution and Gravitation: a Computer Simulation of a Non-Walrasian Equilibrium Model

نویسنده

  • Michele Tucci
چکیده

The following notes contain a computer simulation concerning a basic nonWalrasian equilibrium system, following the Edmond Malinvaud “short side” approach, as far as the price adjustment is concerned, and the sequential Hicksian “weeks” structure with regard of the temporal characterization. Two strongly heterogeneous classes of agents will be taken into consideration: the “rich” and the “poor” and it will be shown how such sociological distinction critically influences the evolution of the framework under consideration. Finally, some methodological considerations will be added, regarding the comparison between the evolutionary and the gravitational paradigms and the evaluation of approaches belonging to rival schools of economic thought. J.E.L. Classification: C68, O12.

Evolutionary Socioeconomics: a Schumpeterian Computer Simulation

The following note contains a computer simulation concerning the struggle between two companies: the first one is " the biggest zaibatsu of all " , while the second one is " small, fast, ruthless ". The model is based on a neo-Schumpeterian framework operating in a Darwinian evolutionary environment. After running the program a large number of times, two characteristics stand out: • There is al...

Oligopolistic Competition in an Evolutionary Environment: a Computer Simulation

The following notes contain a computer simulation concerning effective competition in an evolutionary environment. The scope is to underline the existence of a side effect pertaining to the competitive processes: the tendency toward an excess of supply by producers which operate in a strongly competitive situation. A set of four oligopolistic firms will be employed in the formal reconstruction....

Thermodynamic evolution of cosmological baryonic gas: I. Influence of non-equipartition processes

Using N-body/hydrodynamic simulations, the influence of non-equipartition processes on the thermal and dynamical properties of cosmological baryonic gas is investigated. We focus on a possible departure from equilibrium between electrons, ions and neutral atoms in low temperature (10–10 K) and weakly ionized regions of the intergalactic medium. The simulations compute the energy exchanges betwe...

Numerical Modeling of Non-equilibrium Plasma Discharge of Hydrogenated Silicon Nitride (SiH4/NH3/H2)

In this work, we model a radiofrequency discharge of hydrogenated silicon nitride in a capacitive coupled plasma reactor using Maxwellian and non-Maxwellian electron energy distribution function. The purpose is to investigate whether there is a real advantage and a significant contribution using non-Maxwellian electron energy distribution function rather than Maxwellian one for determining the ...

Modeling and Simulation of Kuhni Extraction Column Using a Rate-based Model

In this study, liquid-liquid extraction process in a Kuhni extraction column was modeled and simulated. A non-equilibrium dynamic model was developed for modeling liquid-liquid extraction processes based on a rate-based model. The model equations are inclusive of partial and ordinary differential equations which were discretized in column height direction. The population balance model was used ...
